The Mets currently rank #27 in these 2026 MLB power rankings. Top three: 1. Dodgers; 2. Yankees; 3. Brewers. Rankings use a weighted model of offense, pitching, bullpen, run differential, recent form, and defense.
How the Model Works
Each category is scored 0–100 via percentile rank across all 30 teams (higher is always better — ERA/WHIP/errors are inverted). Weighted scores are summed to produce a final 0–100 power score. Recent Form is based on each team's last 20 games W/L. Score Δ shows the change from the previous run. Strength of Schedule is approximated by division (AL/NL East toughest; Central softest) — a known limitation noted in the methodology. Injury adjustment is reserved for a future enhancement and currently contributes a neutral 50 pts.
